With reduplication, the unstressed /ë/ of the root is elided and an additional
/ë/ (raised to /i/) is inserted between /h/ and /l/; another /ë is inserted between /h/ and /m/ of the MP suffix.
/wa/ is realized as /o/.
/w/ is elided in final position after a vowel.
/i/ of the first syllable is laxed in a closed syllable.
